Prout Street

Set on three acres, this new build was cut into the landscape, creating more outdoor space on the sloping site. Initially, we aimed to transform the exposed area as part of the Prout Street Landscaping project to complement the Hamptons-inspired country home. To achieve this, we reimagined the site so that it would enhance its natural beauty while also providing functional outdoor areas. Therefore, we planned every element carefully to ensure it blended seamlessly with the surroundings.

After cutting the house pad, we needed to address a large section on the eastern and northern boundaries that required retaining walls up to five meters high. In order to handle this, we chose sandstone and built the walls according to engineer specifications. Consequently, this choice provided the necessary support and created a natural backdrop for the rest of the landscaping. Thus, the materials we used added a sense of cohesion to the overall design.

3. Firepit: Creating a firepit area for relaxation and social gatherings.

4. Driveways: Constructing driveways that blend seamlessly with the landscape.

5. Hand-formed Sandstone Stairs: Building custom hand-formed sandstone stairs for aesthetic appeal and functionality.

6. Stone Entry Pillars: Adding stone entry pillars for a grand entrance.

7. Custom Automated Gates: Installing custom automated gates with intercom and lighting for security and convenience.

8. Lawn and Gardens: Incorporating extensive lawns for a park-like look, along with simple gardens and automated irrigation.

9. Drainage Systems: Implementing ample drainage to ensure the sloping aspect drains correctly, preventing future erosion issues.
