This gorgeous highset Queenslander in Norman Park had been renovated a few years ago. However, some of the exterior design did not match the home’s style. Therefore, as part of our project, Hipwood Street Landscaping, we decided to remove and rethink some of the outdoor structures and garden design. As a result, we aimed to create a space that felt more relaxed and luxurious.
To begin, we took out the front fence, gate, gardens, and old electrical and irrigation systems. As part of the Hipwood Street Landscaping project, we then created a wider motor court and designed new entry stairs and garden design. We also built a new stone front fence. Next, we installed a custom automated slide gate, an ornate gate for people, and an arch with lights and an intercom.
Key Aspects
1. Front Fence and Gate Removal: Removing the existing front fence, gate, gardens, and old electrical and irrigation systems.
2. Inner Motor Court: Creating a wider inner motor court for better accessibility.
3. New Entry Stairs and Gardens: Designing and constructing new entry stairs and gardens for enhanced curb appeal.
4. Stone Front Fence: Building a new stone front fence with custom automated slide gate, ornate personnel gate, and arch with lighting and intercom.
5. Boundary Fencing Replacement: Replacing the boundary fencing for a cohesive look.
6. Higher Lawn Terrace: Replacing some retaining walls and building an oversized outdoor fireplace and entertaining terrace on the higher lawn terrace.
7. Pool Area Enhancement: Designing and installing an overhanging arbor with pendant lighting, espalier to the fence, and repainting the pool area.
8. Lighting Upgrades: Replacing all wall-mounted lights with a brushed bronze finish.
9. Verandah Swing Chair: Installing a beautiful swing chair on the verandah for added relaxation.
In the end, the Hipwood Street Landscaping project created a space that feels connected and flows smoothly, while also adding a real sense of atmosphere. Overall, the project turned the outdoor areas into a luxurious and welcoming space that matches the home’s style.
